OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The Pharmastill New series HPS is
based on "Thin Falling Film" and
Multi-stage principles ingeniously
combined.
The first effect is fed by
an external heat source (Industrial
steam or Electrical energy).
This energy is totally
reused in the subsequent effects, due to
the successively lower operating
temperatures and pressures.
The efficiency (liters per
kg of steam or per Kw) depends on the
number of effects and increases if the
number of effects increases while the
production capacity remains unchanged.
Increasing the feed steam pressure in
the first effect (usually between 3 and
8 bar) increases the distilled water
production capacity.
OPERATION DESCRIPTION
The demineralized feed water is
preheated in the first of the two final
exchangers by the steam produced in the
in the last effect then and in the
subsequent pre-heaters by the distillate
produced in the remaining effects.
All feed water reaches the
maximum temperature in the first effect,
thereby being rapidly heat sterilised,
where it partially evaporates, heated by
industrial steam or electrical energy.
The pure steam produced
and the water which has not evaporated
pass to the next column, operating at a
lower temperature and pressure.
The pure steam is
condensed producing distillate,
vaporising a new portion of feed water.
This process is repeated in the other
effects. The pure steam produced in the
last effect is condensed by the feed
water and cooling water in two final
exchangers. |
