The feed-water is fed by a
pump into the decontamination column and to the tube side of the
heat exchanger to the level fixed by the level controller.
The industrial steam or superheated water enters the
heat-exchanger to heat the water to evaporation temperature;
this creates a strong circulation inside the two bodies.
The steam develops in the evaporator (decontamination column) as
a pure vapour.
The steam low velocity and the height of the column eliminate
any possible impure water droplets entrainment.
The pure steam pressure is maintained constantly at the value
set.
