i.Center™

i.Series incubators feature the i.Center Integrated Monitoring System. i.Center technology constantly monitors the chamber temperature and critical incubator functions, safeguarding the products inside and providing valuable information to the user.

Features of the i.Center

Microprocessor-based monitoring system is independent from the temperature controller. Dual stainless steel RTD probes (PC3200i and PC4200i). Single stainless steel RTD probe (all other incubator models). Digital display of upper and lower chamber temperatures. Automatic high/low alarm testing (Peltier based). AgiTrak system monitors agitator motion. Cycle counter tracks the number of agitator cycles. Agitator cycles are recorded in the i.Center. Event log of alarm conditions with date and time. Password protected configuration. Continuous 24-hour temperature graph operates as a screen saver (may be disabled). “Soft” programmable buttons allow added future functionality. i.Center AgiTrak System

The AgiTrak system is exclusive to i.Series platelet incubators. With AgiTrak, the i.Center monitors the function of the agitator(s) placed in an incubator. To utilize the i.Center’s AgiTrak system, the platelet agitator must be an i.Series model with a motion alarm. AgiTrak features an RPM validation screen which monitors the cycle speed of the agitator(s), as well as agitator count and alarm logs which record alarm conditions. It also features an agitator cycle counter which tracks the number of cycles on all agitators housed within the incubator.

Independent Temperature Controls and Chart Recorder

• Digital microprocessor temperature controller factory set to 22ºC.
  (Operating temperature range is 20ºC to 35ºC.)
• Four-inch, 7-day circular chart recorder with the following features:
  • Inkless, pressure-sensitive chart paper with a range of 0°C to +35°C.
  • Electronic drive mechanism for consistent results.
  • Battery backup ensuring continuous operation.
  • Touch button controls for chart changes and calibration.
  • Power status indicator.
• Controller is independent from the alarm/monitor system.
• Stainless steel temperature probe ensures alarm will activate before
  valuable product is exposed to temperature above or below the acceptable
  range. Models PC3200i and PC4200i feature dual probes.

Refrigeration System

• Heavy-duty, air-cooled refrigeration system.
• Non-CFC, commercially available refrigerant.
• Automatic condensate evaporator is standard.
• Forced air circulation maintains chamber uniformity of +/-1ºC and
  provides quick recovery.

Platelet Incubator Features

i.Series Floor Model Platelet Incubators Helmer offers three floor model platelet incubators in the i.Series line. These units feature eye level controls and alarms. The PC2200i contains two shelves and will hold two PF96i agitators. It can store 192 random bags (64 apheresis bags). The PC3200i has three shelves and will hold three PF96i agitators. Total capacity is 288 random bags (96 apheresis bags). The PC4200i is the largest capacity platelet incubator available. It features a built-in agitator with a capacity of 396 random bags (132 apheresis).

i.Series Countertop Platelet Incubators Our i.Series countertop platelet incuators provide the security of a continuously controlled temperature environment with an efficient use of counter space. Top mounted controls, i.Center Integrated Monitoring System, and chart recorder are positioned for easy access. Threecountertop models are available. Features of the countertop units include: PC100i Electric condensate evaporator. Forced-air circulation. Dual pane, tempered glass window. Left-hinged door. i.Series Agitators

Helmer platelet agitators offer a wide range of storage capacities. Delrin® rollers and glides allow the drawer storage platform to agitate smoothly, eliminating the need for ball bearings which wear down and squeak. Sturdy, one-piece perforated drawers with non-slip textured coating provide uniform air circulation for your platelets.

i.Series platelet agitators feature a built-in motion alarm with adjustable volume. An alarm will sound when the side- to-side motion is not detected. When placed in an i.Series incubator, the agitator can be monitored by the i.Center with the AgiTrak system.
